At the audio launch of the Srikanth - Janani Iyer starrer Paagan at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai, director Ameer attracted attention thanks to his frank speech as always. He admitted that the cinema industry is a huge sea and that the film fraternity must encourage one another at such events. Paagan being about cycles, Ameer also regretted the fact that he didn't have a cycle during his growing-up years.
Anil Lad, Santosh Lad and Nandish Reddy were the Karnataka politicians who were present at this event and Ameer responded to MP Anil Lad's remarks about Kannadigas like Rajinikanth and Arjun making it big in the Tamil industry. Ameer asked them to send some water too along with the bevy of Kannada stars who have come to the Tamil industry and made a mark for themselves.
Namitha, Jayam Ravi were among the other stars who were present at the launch.
Paagan is directed by Mohammed Aslam, who is a former assistant of Ameer, and the movie is slated to release on September 7. Kovai Sarala and Suri also star in this movie for which James Vasanthan scores the music.
