Director Vetri Maaran is extremely pleased that his Aadukalam has been selected for screening at the Kolkata International Film Festival. Aadukalam has been featuring in several international festivals and this is one more feather to its cap.

The film won six national awards this year including Best Actor for Dhanush and Best Director for Vetri Maaran. Incidentally, the film lost to the Malayalam film Adaminte Makan Abu in the race for India’s official entry to Oscars in the regional films category.
