Ilaiyaraja's sons Karthik and Yuvan Shankar opted to follow in their father's footsteps and carry on his shining legacy. Now it is daughter, Bhavatharini's turn. The talented Bhavatharini is famed for her dulcet voice and has even won the National award for her Mayil Pola song from Bharathi.
Bhavatharini will be composing the music for Vellachi directed by Velu Vishwanath with Pindu and Suchithra Unni in the lead roles. She had earlier worked in Revathy's Mitr, My Friend which went on to win the National Award for best English film.
