Velayutham’s producer Aascar Ravichandran has said that the film will be released in 40 theatres in Chennai on October 26th. This has put an end to all confusion over the film’s release date and number of screens for now.
Vijay enjoys immense popularity in Kerala and this has paved way for the film getting about 120 screens there. Further, in Karnataka, Velayutham will be released 100 theatres. It may be pointed out here that Vijay released the trailer of the film in Bangalore just a few days ago.
Velayutham is directed by Jayam Raja. It has Genelia, Hansika, Santhanam, Saranya Mohan and several others in its star cast.
