The audio launch of Osthi happened at the Image Auditorium in Chennai yesterday. The event began at around 6:30 pm with several celebs gracing it. Vijay released the audio CD of the film and veteran lyricist Vaali received it from him.
The audio launch function was a grand one with several cultural programs performed on stage. Notable among them was the Pondatti song rendered by Silambarasan who also danced to the tunes.
T Rajendar had the audiences in split of laughter with his mimicry. Indie pop singer Baba Sehgal, Rahul Nambiar, LR Easwari, Naresh Iyer, Thaman and others also crooned some of the songs in the films. The first song that was sung onstage was the Osthi Mamae song. The film’s music director Thaman crooned the Unnale Unnale song.
Vijay, before releasing the audio, donated money for the welfare of the blind children. ‘Nandu’ Jegan and Ophelia hosted the event.
