K-town's hottest star, Santhanam is all set to play the lead after a very long time. He played the hero in Arai En 305il Kadavul. Now, it has come to our knowledge that the actor has been signed for the Tamil remake of SS Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna.
PVP Cinemas holds the remake rights and will produce the film. R Kannan, who is currently directing Settai, the remake of Delhi Belly, will helm the megaphone for this project.
Siva Karthikeyan was also considered for the lead role, but finally it has come down to Santhanam. The Hindi remake of the film, Son of Sardaar, starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt hit the screens recently and is doing great business in the north.
