Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has clarified that the film is shown as taking place in Kancheepuram in the Telugu version as well. He lashed out at mischief makers who are publicizing that though the filmmakers are claiming that it is pride of every Tamilian, in the Telugu version they have shown the story taking place in Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and Dharavi in Mumbai.
Reacting to this, Udhayanidhi said that it is just baseless because the film is shown to happen in Kancheepuram in both Tamil as well as Telugu version.
