Following the stupendous response to Kalakalappu, producers UTV Motion Pictures have decided to go ahead with a sequel with exactly the same team. Sundar C will be the director and Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya will reprise their roles again. Shooting for Kalakalappu 2 is scheduled to begin in October.
Sundar C is currently filming Madha Gadha Raja with Vishal and Karthika and once this project is wrapped up, he will turn his attention to the sequel.
