The trailer of Narthaki clearly indicates that the subject dealt with is out of the ordinary. The film stars Kalki, a transgender, and is about the travails of the transgender in society. If that is not enough to push them back in the society, the film itself ran into trouble with the Censor Board as it was awarded an Adults Only certification.
According to Narthaki’s director G Vijaya Padma, all efforts are on to release the film by March 25th, 2011. Narthaki is produced by Punnagai Poo Geetha and its music has been scored by GV Prakash Kumar.
