Sivakumar’s family is well-known for involving themselves in various social welfare activities with his eldest son actor Suriya championing the cause of education through their Agaram Foundation. And Karthi now seem to be following his brother’s footsteps.
He was the guest of honor at the World Rare Disease Day held under the aegis of The Lysosomal Storage Disorders Support Society & Fetal Care Research Foundation. The event happened on February 28th, 2011 at the Kamarajar Memorial Hall in Teynampet, Chennai. VK Subburaj, Principal Secretary Government Health and Family Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu Government, was the chief guest.
