Not that he has any doubts about Dhanush's acting skills, but Anand who is directing Dhanush in his first Bollywood venture Raanjhna has asked the actor to watch old Raj Kapoor movies. Anand recently said that he asked Dhanush to watch Raj Kapoor's Shree 420, Awaara and Mera Naam Joker so he can pick up nuances of acting from the legend.
"I expect Dhanush would give his unique touch to Raanjhna after watching these movies,” Anand was quoted as saying. Dhanush plays a Varanasi based bloke in Raanjhna, directed by Anand whose recent film was the Madhavan - Kangana starrer Tanu weds Manu.
