Vijay has tentatively agreed to star in the remake of a Kannada movie titled Vishnuvardhana. The Kannada movie was directed by Pon Kumaran, who recently screened the movie to Vijay. Subsequently, Vijay has nodded consent for the film.
If the movie takes off, it will be only after Vijay's work for the Murugadoss directed Thuppakki and Gautham Menon directed Yohan are over. Vishnuvardhana originally starred Sudheep, Bhavna and Priyamani in the lead. There will also be a title change if the movie is being remade.
