Urumi bags the Best Film Award

American Society of Cinematographers member Santosh Sivan’s Urumi has bagged the Best Film Award at the recent Imagine India International Film Festival (IIFA) held in Madrid. Santosh Sivan won the best director award for the film too.

70 films including Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Sanjay Nag’s Memoirsin March, Bikramjit Gupta’s Achal (The Stagnant), Salim Ahamed’s  Adaminte Makan Abu and Rajesh Pillai’s Traffic participated in the competition.

Deepa Naval won the best actress award for Memories of March and Salim Kumar was named the best actor for his performance in Adaminte Makan Abu.
