Director Thyagarajan Kumararaja has said that when he narrated Jackie Shroff’s role in Aaranya Kandam to several actors in Kollywood, they either refused to do it or suggested some changes. He said that when he spoke to Jackie about the role, he immediately agreed to it.
Thyagarajan Kumararaja is happy over his decision not to have made any changes to that role fearing that no one would take it up. The director said that when he wrote the Aaranya Kandam script, he felt that Ravi Krishna would suit the Chappai role and signed him up. Others actors were selected later, he revealed.
