Legend Mani Ratnam has taken his crew to Andaman, where he will be stationed for the shoot of Kadal. Mani has been location hunting for a while and finalised Andaman recently. Following Mani, Gautham and Tulasi also went to Andaman to participate in the shoot schedules. 

The crew will explore some as yet unseen locations in Andaman according to production sources. Plans are also afoot to shoot a song, the same sources reveal. The schedule is likely to go on for 15 days after which the cast and crew will be back in Chennai for the next leg.
