In an exciting development, which we already reported it has been revealed that Suriya will be seen in a double role for Maatran. This is not the first time he has done a double role as films like Vel and Perazhagan had him pulling off this gig. What is different though is that in Maatran Suriya will be playing Siamese twins otherwise known as conjoined twins which makes it so much harder.
Apparently KV Anand is looking out for body doubles who resemble Suriya closely in terms of facial structure as well as physique. If he finds the doubles then it will be a major load off his mind otherwise the film will be delayed indefinitely. Work in other departments is proceeding rapidly. One song has already been composed and the director plans to begin filming the songs sometime in January.
