India’s official entry to the Oscar Awards this year Adaminte Makan Abu did not make it to the Top Nine in the Best Foreign Film category. The film went on to receive four National Awards which were Best Actor - Salim Kumar, Best Feature Film - Salim Ahamed, Best Cinematography - Madhu Ambat, and Best Music Direction (Background Score) - Isaac Thomas Kottukapally.
