The Tamilnadu Producer's Council meet that was held
on January 8, 2011 came down heavily on the theatre
owners in Tamil Nadu accusing them of hiking the ticket
prices during the initial weeks of the release of
new movies. The theatre owner association, in turn,
issued a statement addressing this issue. The official
note, given below, states that they are urged to rise
the ticket rates since the ticket rates have not been
revised by the Government for years now, even in these
testing times of inflation.
