Vijayakumar and Manjula had filed a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the case filed by their daughter Vanitha. This case came up for hearing and Vijayakumar pleaded that their social status would be affected if they were arrested and sought an anticipatory bail. Vanitha’s advocate vehemently opposed this plea. On hearing both sides, the judge held that both Vijayakumar and Manjula be given anticipatory bail but ordered them not to interfere in Vanitha’s eldest son Vijay Sri Hari’s custody.

The feud between Vanitha, her parents and first husband Akash has been going on for the past one month and revolves around who gets the custody of Vanitha’s son Vijay Sri Hari.
