Ram Gopal Varma’s midas-touch upon regional actors has paved a way for them in Bollywood. Sudeep isn’t an elision, as the actor seems to be enjoying that privilege. Kannada film industry’s popular actor Sudeep forayed into Bollywood through RGV’s ‘Phoonk’ and later in its sequel titled ‘Phoonk-2’. He played one of the lead roles in ‘Rann’, in which he shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. Although his prominence in ‘Rakht Charithra- 1 & 2’ was minimal, he is lauded for his naturalistic approach towards his character.
The bond between Ram Gopal Varma and Sudeep is getting stronger as the filmmaker has reportedly signed him for one of his upcoming films ‘Phoonk-3’. ‘Phoonk-3’ will be the continuation of its prequel that ends on the horrendous note of the protagonist losing his demoniac wife while trying to save their kids from her.
