The audio launch of Velayudham was held in grand fashion on Sunday at CSI Grounds in Madurai and was attended by a vast number of fans. Majority of the media was given only limited access to the event and therefore complete details about the proceedings are not yet available.
What is known is that composer Vijay Anthony spoke at the event and this is what he had to say. He first thanked Aascar Ravichandran for organizing such an event in Madurai. At a time when majority of big banner films are looking to have audio launches at international venues, it was great to see the Velayudham team choosing the south of Tamil Nadu for their big day.
Vijay Anthony said that composing music for Velayudham was not a job that brought a lot of pressure with it. He said that the entire team gave him the freedom to work and that he too followed his usual style without trying to be too different. The results, he said, are more than satisfactory and will definitely be liked more than his two previous albums for Vijay films, Sukran and Vettaikaran.
Two songs, the ‘Velayudham’ theme which was ready at the time of the movie’s launch and the ‘Rathathin rathame’ are already popular and with the rest of the album now available, it is expected that excitement levels will keep steadily rising until the Diwali release.
