The audio release date for Vedi has been announced. It will take place on the 1st of September. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva, and has Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead. The score has been composed by Vijay Antony and Devi Sree Prasad will be doing an item number for him with Sameera Reddy.
After his successful Pokkiri remake, Prabhu Deva tried his hand at original scripts before returning to the remake format. Vedi is reported to be a remake of Souryam which had Jayam villian, Gopichand and Anushka as the main protagonists. It was an explosive success and Prabhu Deva is hoping that Vedi will repeat the success of Pokkiri and Souryam.
Word is that the talkie portions are done and only the songs have to be filmed. After scouting for suitable locations, it has been decided that the team will fly to South Africa and shoot a couple of songs in the picturesque locales there. Kamal Haasan shot his famous Kadhala Kadhala track in Sun City, South Africa and Prabhu Deva will be hoping that his songs are received in the same way.
