The blockbuster that fetched Anushka her crown in Telugu is going to Hindi. Bollywood's reigning queen Kareena Kapoor will don the role played by Anushka in the Hindi version of Arundhati. In the race for the role were Rani Mukherjee and Katrina Kaif. However, it went to Kareena and she emerged as the winner. "I am excited to do this that had importance for the female character," Kareena was quoted as saying.
Sonu Sood plays the villain role in the Hindi version as well.
