Dhanush missed watching the gripping World Cup finals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while Rajinikanth, Latha Rajinikanth and Soundarya cheered for India throughout the match. Dhanush had earlier said that he could not make it to the finals between India and Sri Lanka as he had to travel abroad for a film shoot.
It may be recalled that Dhanush and wife Aishwarya were in Mohali for the India-Pakistan semi finals match.
Rajini and Soundarya sported a replica of the Indian cricket team’s jersey and were seated in the same VIP box that housed Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao and a host of other celebrities. The other stars who present at this stadium were Preity Zinta, Ameesha Patel, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Suniel Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi.
