Elon Musk, chairman of Tesla, the world's richest man, bought Twitter social media company for $ 44 billion (about Rs 3.30 trillion in Indian currency). Following this, he sold 44 lakh shares of his electric car company Tesla.

Elon Musk is said to have sold shares in Tesla to end a deal to buy Twitter. Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and one of the world's billionaires, commented on the acquisition of Elon Musk by Twitter and the company's future.

However, asked whether or not he had bet against Tesla, the 66-year-old businessman fired back: "That has nothing to do with climate change. I have ways of diversifying.

"The popularity of electric cars will lead to more competition for selling those cars."So there's a difference between electric cars being adopted, and companies becoming infinitely valuable," said Bill Gates.
