President Trump on Thursday took the U.S. by storm after tweeting that the U.S. Presidential elections scheduled for November might have to be delayed. He presented this idea since the mail voting might be inaccurate.

Trump tweets to delay us presidential elections 2020

"With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???,” he wrote on Twitter.

The United States wanted to prioritise the health of its citizens. Hence the Presidential elections scheduled for November 3, 2020 is expected to be held with zero contact base. Postal voting was suggested in order to facilitate the same.

This tweet surfaced on Thursday when the U.S. revealed that the novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of over 1,50,000 people. At the same time the country has been seeing a massive nationwide protest against racism and violence.

Soon after this tweet was posted, the Democrats and Republicans rejected the idea. They were also of the opinion that this is Trump’s way of distracting people from the devastating economic news.
