US BECOMES FIRST COUNTRY TO REGISTER 1 LAKH CORONAVIRUS CASES; NEW YORK WORST HIT!  

Despite lockdowns and strict measures all across the world, the United States has become the first country to exceed 1,00,000 confirmed coronavirus cases. A tracker maintained by Johns Hopkins University reported that the US now has more than 1,00,000 cases including 1,544 deaths.  

As per news agency AFP, the biggest hit by far is in New York, where hospitals are pushed to the limit as governments are converting public buildings into hospitals.

With recent updates and report, the number of confirmed US cases rose by 15,000 on Friday and New York with almost 1,600 in intensive care while the state had logged 519 deaths.

With this tragic outbreak, hospitals in New York City, New Orleans, Detroit and other few places are running out of drugs, medical supplies and trained staff.

Earlier this week, Italy became the second country to overtake China in terms of the positive cases reaching more than 86,000 with latest 969 deaths. This whooping number became the highest one-day figure since the outbreak.
