As different countries across the globe are staggering due to the corona crisis, efforts are being taken to resume and boost economic growth in few nations. Whereas others continue to remain shut under Lockdown.  

Corona in America: Attempts to restore normalcy amidst rise in deaths

Some parts of the United States such as California and New York, plan for gradual economic re openings. The news came on Monday, when a group of governors from New York, California and Washington State suggested that coordinated, gradual economic reopenings could be initiated in the country. They also stressed upon the need to take precautionary measures in order to avoid a resurgence of infections. The U. S. death toll continues to surge higher. So far, 23,000 people have died out of the 575,000 people who tested positive. The United States has recorded more fatalities from COVID-19 than any other nation.

Meanwhile, Spain has decided to partially loosen the Lockdown and announced that few businesses such as construction and manufacturing, can get back to work from today. It has recorded a decline in rise in number of cases since early March. According to media reports from India Today, the Health Minister Salavador Illa also said that Shops, bars and public spaces will remain closed and Spain will continue to remain under lockdown. 

The picture from countries like UK and Italy continues to be blurry and bleak. The death toll in UK has crossed the 11,000 mark. Their death toll is the fifth highest in world. Italy has also registered a rise in number of death tolls which stands above 20,400 at present.
