This hyperloop technology is to remove these two barriers. For example if we take the Chennai-Bangalore journey, a huge pipeline will be installed between the two cities. They will expel the air inside the tube and create a vacuum. The passenger pod called as the transport pod, is attached to the inside of the tube.

The passenger compartment will start moving using the magnetic field deflection. The United States, Britain and the United Arab Emirates are working on to bring this technology to use in the future.

The Chennai IIT students have taken a research on this hyperloop technology. The team, which has already won awards for driving the hyperloop vehicle for 100 meters, is next set to run the vehicle for another 500 meters. If successful, it will create a new chapter in the Indian transport history.

This Hyper Loop vehicle can travel at a speed of 1,223 kilometers per hour due to the absence of both friction and air barrier in the vacuum. That means one can reach Chennai - Mumbai within an hour and Chennai - Bangalore in just 25 minutes. Wow, isn't it?
