Probably the passengers of Chennai Metro will be able to access free wifi, superfast internet and quick movie downloads by the end of this week, reports The Hindu.
In order to make use of the facility, the passengers should download the 'Sugarbox' application and register in it. Reportedly one can download a movie in just 10 minutes.
“From TV series to films, in languages including English, Tamil and Hindi, commuters can watch during travel and also download the content and later view it offline as well. It may take only about 10 minutes to download a film, that’s the kind of speed this app will provide for commuters. We want to keep commuters engaged while travelling and give them more reasons to use public transport,” an official was quoted by The Hindu.
The official also added that the Chennai Metro is awaiting the response of the state government to finalize the date for inaugurating the scheme this week.
