In that regard, a public grievance meeting was held recently at the Thoothukudi District Collector's Office. Thoothukudi District Collector Senthil Raj submitted petitions to the public.

Kind Collector

A public grievance meeting was held on the ground floor of the Thoothukudi District Collector's Office. Collector Senthil Raj, who was there at the time, was receiving the petitions of the alternatively abled and talking to them. The collector has seen an old grandmother who was selling groceries there, including Paniyaram. He immediately approached her and kindly asked, "Are you getting your monthly allowance right now?"

The grandmother who responded said, "The money is right there." The grandmother also told the collector that she had been making and selling groceries, including servitude, and that the proceeds were the source of her livelihood.

The collector praised the grandmother who had decided to work even after the age of 80 and said that he would buy all the forks she had. The collector asked her how much money he owed her in total and bought all the forks for 200 rupees.

The forks were distributed to all who were told by the Collector to give this fort to all the officers there. The grandmother then thanked the collector for purchasing all the forks.
