Thimmanaickenpalayam is a village located in the Sulur area of ​​Coimbatore district. The people living here have been facing a lot of difficulties as the nuisance of flies has been increasing here for the last few weeks. The people of this village of two hundred families say that they even could not eat in peace due to the recent increase in harassment.

People in the area do not even know how to drink tea due to the infestation of flies and do not know what to do as the house is infested with essential items including rice and pulses. The villagers said, "Flies flock everywhere we go. We are in a lot of trouble because there are flies in everything from household essentials to baby snacks. There are flies like lizards on the wall."

What is the reason?

According to the public, there are a large number of poultry farms around the village and the reason for the increase in these flies is the dumping of dead chickens in the area. Recently seven street dogs have mysteriously died in this area. It is suspected that these may also be due to poultry waste.

One commenter on the situation said, "Ten flies fall into the tea before it's finished drinking. Flies crawl into food, causing health problems for people, especially the elderly and women."

Villagers of Thimmanaickenpalayam have also complained to the District Collector, Regional Development Officer and Health Department officials about the increasing infestation of flies.
