The mysterious death of a woman who was alone at home has left everyone shocked.
Indrani hailed from Ramapuram village next to Morappur in Dharmapuri district. She had been living apart from her husband. She had a daughter Rajeshwari and a son Ramesh. Both lived in the same town. Indrani's son-in-law also is working and living with them to support the daughter. Rajeshwari's daughter Sumitra is pursuing her studies in college.
A group of people from Ramapuram area visited the Masaniamman temple in Pollachi yesterday. They were accompanied by Indrani's son Ramesh and daughter Rajeshwari. So, Indrani and her granddaughter were the only ones at home.
When the granddaughter came home after her college in evening, she was shocked to see her grandmother lying dead with wounds. Immediately she shouted and the neighbors rushed to the spot and then informed the police.
Police sent Indrani's body for autopsy. Meanwhile, while searching the house, police found a knife and a lemon near the body. And Indrani's ear had no ring. The deceased was said to be a magician who healed the sick.
So, the police suspect that someone might have come to cast a spell and attacked Indrani and snatched the gold. Sniffer dog and fingerprint experts were called in to collect clues. The mysterious death of a woman who was alone at home in the afternoon has sent shock-waves in the area.
