VIJAYAKANTH TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19; MIOT HOSPITAL SHARES HIS 'LATEST HEALTH UPDATE'

Actor turned politician Vijayakanth was recently admitted to MIOT Hospital in Chennai after testing for COVID-19 positive.

A day after being admitted, MIOT International in Chennai, released an official statement regarding Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) founder and party president Vijayakanth's health report. 

MIOT hospital's official update read as "Mr. A Vijayakant tested positive for COVID-19 on 22nd September, 2020. He is completely stable and admitted in MIOT Hospitals Chennai. He is expected to make a full recovery and should be ready for discharge soon."

Soon after the news about his health went viral, fans and party members took to social media to pray for the veteran actor's speedy recovery.
