HUNDREDS OF COVID PATIENTS RECOVER IN 5 DAYS WITH THIS TREATMENT - TN GOVT EXPAND TO ALL HOSPITALS - REPORT

The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday has considered the use of Siddha medicine for treating the novel coronavirus. It has come to notice that many patients have recovered within five days after taking the medication.

In a statement, party leader Anbumani Ramadoss cited that the National Institute of Siddha has successfully treated 160 COVID-19 positive patients within just 5 days. The institute had also requested the government to include Siddha doctors in COVID Care Centres for treating the patients.

“When medicines have not yet been discovered for COVID-19, the emerging opportunities should be utilised. If the treatment offered by the Siddha Institute turns successful, it would give pride and recognition for the state,” he said.

After a detailed meeting, the Tamil Nadu state government has decided to try treating patients in the COVID facilities with Siddha medicines.

It was pointed out that in 2009, Kabasura Kudineer prepared by the Siddha institute helped in containing the spread of swine flu and in 2012, the then CM Jayalalithaa had requested the public to use Nilavembu Kudineer which was once again prepared by the same institute to fight dengue.
