STEEP RISE IN COVID-19 DEATH IN TN: UPDATE ON TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, RECOVERIES & OTHER DETAILS AS ON JUNE 16!

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, June 16, reported 1,515 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 48,019.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of June 16:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   20,706* 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  29,594 / 18,407 / 18  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 79 (45 Govt+34 Private) 

- Total number of samples tested till date –   7,48,244   

- Total number of samples tested today –    19,242     

- Total number of persons tested till date –   48,019 

- Total number of persons tested today –  1,515 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  26,782 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –   1,438 

- Total number of deaths today / till date -  49 (14 Private35 and Govt) / 528
