T NAGAR TO GET FIRE SAFETY PLAN FINALLY

According to reports on TOI, the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) will be forming a comprehensive fire safety management plan for T Nagar.

The CMDA has issued a tender notice calling for a consultant to prepare a detailed project report. As per the tender notice, the aim of the DPR is to evolve a comprehensive fire safety management plan involving inter-departmental coordination and community participation.

It talks of a community-oriented fire safety plan involving building owners, occupants and local NGOs in partnership with government departments.
