The Sathankulam custodial death case has sparked outrage in the entire national and especially in social media platforms. Madras High Court’s ruling has been extremely crucial in the case. Judicial Magistrate Bharatidasan’s report based on an inquiry included the statement given by Head Constable Revathi of the Sathankulam Police station. She confirmed that the police officers tortured the father-son duo. It is her statement and the report, that played a pivotal in role facilitating the course of justice. Her bravery has been lauded widely by the general public as well as celebrities.

Head Constable Revathi’s husband spoke about his wife’s contribution to the case in an exclusive interview with Behindwoods. 

He stated that Head Constable Revathi couldn’t stand the torture that the victims were subjected to. He mentioned that she narrated the entire incident to him and was keen on reporting it. Although she feared that her family’s safety might be at stake, the couple decided to testify against the police officers during the inquiry. While asked about the reason behind the decision, he said, we have children too, if we don’t report it today, they might be subjected to similar incidents.

He expressed his happiness towards the fact that his wife played an important role and helped the investigation, however he also mentioned that she is still worried about the safety of their family.
