Gone were the days where Ganja (also called as Marijuana and Weed) would be rare booze for people in need. Today it has become a regular drug and could be easily accessible by youngsters including school and college students.

IIT, IT employees sell weed to college, office, school kids

The growing concerns of weed have hit the busy streets of IT hubs such as Shollinganallur, Thoraipakkam, Velachery and Taramani. Once the Special Investigation police Officers received the tip of increasing Ganja circulations, they contacted the peddler (person who supplies Ganja) pretending to be a Ganja buyer and asked for the stuff. However, the peddler called it a wrong call and disconnected the line.

Later the police officers learnt a secret word from one of the weed buyers and called again asking for Ganja using the code word. The peddler had inquired, "Oh it is a party?". Before the police answered it, he had quoted Rs 30 thousand for 100 packs of the stuff. The police agreed for the deal and the peddler asked him to come to Madhya Kailash, Rajiv Gandhi Salai.

One of the special investigation police officers had gone to the place. Meanwhile, the peddler told him to come to Thorraipakkam where the deal was closed by supplying 100 packs of Ganja for 30,000 rupees.

The police officer who bought the stuff had followed the person who was driving a two-wheeler. The peddler drove the vehicle into Taramani's Pillayar Kovil Street and entered into a house. After a while, the police officers broke into the house and were shocked to see weighing machines and preparation of Ganja packets on full swing. There were three people inside the house and police arrested all of them including the peddler who delivered the Ganja.

Aravind works as the Employee in IIT Research centre while Kamalakannan works for an IT company in Tidle-Park. Both of them partnered with Lyndon Dhoni who works as a water-can delivery boy and started the weed business. According to their business strategy, Kamalakannan would pass on a secret code to his known IT employees who would call the peddler Lydon Dhoni and order weed.

Lyndon will make doorstep delivery to the customers. Reportedly these three people would take huge party orders during the weekends and also supply weed to school and college kids. The police officers have rolled out an investigation to find the complete background of the arrested 3 men.
