CLASS 10 PUBLIC EXAMS CANCELLED IN TAMIL NADU; DETAILS LISTED

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday, 9 June, announced that board exams for class 10 and class 11 students in the State stands cancelled and all the students will be declared pass based on internal assessment.

This comes after the government fell into severe criticism from parents and teachers over its decision to conduct the examinations amid COVID-19 pandemic.

As per initial reports, 80 per cent of the marks will be calculated based on students’ performance in quarterly and half-yearly examinations and the rest 20 per cent will be based on attendance.
