According to New Indian Express report, the woman was not stopped during the screening at the airport as she did not have any symptoms at that point. The woman is a resident of Selaiyur.

After the news went viral about the woman, dean of Rajiv Gandhi hospital R Jayanthi while addressing the media said, "She was referred here from the Chromepet General Hospital. The woman had visited Dongguan in South China, went to Chromepet General Hospital as she was running a mild temperature."

When she was returning back from China, the patient was not stopped at airport. She even passed the thermal screening.

“Since the woman is normal no bio-samples were taken for tests. She was clinically declared by physicians as coronavirus-free. However, we do not want to take any chances considering her travel history,” said Dean Jayanthi further added.

So far, a total of 242 people across Tamil Nadu are under observation after the outbreak of coronavirus. Among the 242, only two are in hospitals; one is said to be in Chennai while the other at Tiruvannamalai General Hospital, New Indian Express further reported.
