CUSTOMS OFFICERS SHOCKED TO UNWRAP THE MYSTERIOUS "BIRTHDAY GIFTS" IN CHENNAI

Officials were shocked to see the birthday presents arriving at the Chennai airport from the Netherlands.

Foreign mail and parcels arrived by cargo plane from the Netherlands to Chennai Airport. One parcel was sent to Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and another to Hyderabad, Telangana.

Birthday Gift

Following this, the customs officers routinely inspected the parcels which had arrived from abroad. Authorities were suspicious of the 2 parcels that arrived from Netherlands. It was mentioned that the bags contained birthday presents which was opened by the officers as part of the inspection.

Drugs

One bottle contained 32 expensive pills while the other bottle contained 419 grams of processed cannabis. Authorities said the value of the drugs in the two bags was about Rs 2 lakh.

Fake address

Following this, the drugs were confiscated by the customs officials. The authorities went to the address in Hyderabad and Vijayawada mentioned in the parcel for investigation. It was only after going there that it was revealed that the addresses on the parcels were fake. Authorities have registered a case and are actively investigating the incident. The incident where the drug was in the birthday gift parcel that came to Chennai from abroad has left everyone shocked.
