In a private amusement park near Chennai's Poonamalle, iron wires from a giant ride broke and caused a minor accident. However, no fatal injuries or life loss was reported. A video of the same is going viral.

Cable breaks in Chennai theme park police orders to close

The private amusement park is located in Pazhanjur near Poonamalle. A lot of people from and around Chennai come to enjoy the joy rides to the theme park.

Along with other water and dry rides, there is a ride called Free Fall. Carrying the people, the ride goes up and down in a gigantic iron tower. On June 18, the iron cables of the ride broke and fell from one side. However, fortunately, since it only fell once it reached the stop, no major injuries were reported.

A video of this incident is going viral on social media. Nazerthpet police have filed a case and the investigation is on. Police have ordered to close the theme park due to the mishap, reports Polimer News.

People have reportedly asked the government to check the quality and condition of the theme parks as if it had fallen from the top then many deaths would have occurred.
