Married Couple

The 39-year old Murugan and Ramalakshmi (35) were married for 10 years and have two children. Murugan hails from Nellai district and moved to Rajapalayam 5 years ago. He was working for a corporate company in Coimbatore while Ramalakhmi was living alone with her children in Rajapalayam.

Affair

Meanwhile, Ramalakshmi and her relative Shanmugam (40) developed an affair. Shanmugam was living in Mugilvannam Pillai street, Rajapalayam and working as an employee in a company. He is married and the father of 2 children.

Money and Murder

Ramalakshmi and Shanmugam's affair reached a high point where Ramalakshmi repeatedly asked money from Shanmugam. Yesterday Ramalakshmi and Shanmugam involved in a scuffle opposite to Ramalakshmi's house. At one point, Shanmugam pulled a knife from inside and murdered Ramalakshmi. After the murder, Shanmugam went to Rajapalayam South police station and surrendered himself.

Inspector Maariyappan went to the murder spot and conducted an investigation. Then Ramalakshmi's dead body was sent to Government hospital for postmortem. The horrible incident has startled the people in the nearby locality.
