FOUR FAMOUS RAILWAY STATIONS IN TAMIL NADU COME UNDER TOP 10 DIRTIEST STATION 

As per a recent survey conducted by the Indian Railway Ministry, four railway stations in Tamil Nadu have been listed among the top 10 dirtiest stations in India. 

The survey was taken under the Swacch Rail Swacch Bharat. Shockingly! Perungalathur has been ranked as the dirtiest station in India; it has scored 258.50 out of 1000. After that comes, Guduvancheri followed by Singaperumalkoil and Ottappalam.

According to Indian Express report, there are two non-suburban stations which have also been ranked among the top 100 cleanest stations. Where Dindigul Junction was ranked 39th while Puratchi Thalaivar Dr M G Ramachandran Chennai Central station ranked 58th. 

Highlighting over the Suburban stations (SG) in Tamil Nadu, four stations in Chennai have been ranked among the top 10 dirtiest SGs in India. Guindy station was ranked as the dirtiest after which Velachery, Pazhavathangal and Chennai Beach follows. 

This kind of railway cleanliness survey is conducted every year so that people as well as staff maintain cleanliness and hygiene at station premises.
