As India's coronavirus death toll crossed China's count on Friday, the medical team and experts are doing their best and working hard towards the vaccine for the virus. According to official data, India has 175 new fatalities in 24 hours, that has taken the total to 4,706.

13 cities worst hit by covid19 four cities in Tamil Nadu check

Looking at the most affected cities in India, there are 13 cities that have been badly hit with the virus. As per Hindustan Times report, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba held a meeting with Chief Ministers and administrators of union territories, who discussed on these 13 cities.

The cities identified are: Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chengalpattu and Tiruvallur.

In the meeting it was discussed that, these 13 cities will continue to see restrictions like containment zones as they constitute about 70 percent of Covid-19 positive cases in the country.

Currently, India is under lockdown in a bid to combat the coronavirus pandemic; the first nationwide lockdown was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24 for 21 days after that it got extended till May 3 and again till May 17.

With the continous rise in cases and death count, the lockdown has now been extended till May 31.
