WON'T BE SURPRISED IF DELHI CAPITALS DON'T MAKE IT TO PLAYOFFS IN IPL 2022: EX-INDIAN CRICKETER

Aakash Chopra has ruled out  Rishabh Pant-led Delhi squad for the playoffs in the IPL this season.

The 15th season of the IPL series is set to start on March 26. It has been announced that this year's IPL matches in India will be played in Mumbai and Pune only. The opening match will see the clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

All the teams are working hard to win the trophy in this series. Teams like Delhi, Bangalore and Punjab, who have never won a trophy, are expected to win the trophy.

Former India captain Aakash Chopra has said that it will be difficult for the Delhi Capitals to qualify for the playoffs in the current IPL. Speaking on his YouTube channel page, he said, ‘I am slightly worried about this team. They can easily lose two of the first three matches."

"If they lose three out of three, there is a possibility, you can't say. Someone might win you a match with a one-man show but as a team, this does not give you a lot of confidence," said Chopra.

Aakash further said, "I will not be surprised if this team does not make it to the playoffs. I feel there is a possibility that this team doesn't qualify because they are going with potential, the performances are just okay, they have availability issues. If they start slowly, you never know which way they will head."
