Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Harshal Patel has set a new record against Kolkata Knight Riders.

The 6th league match of the IPL series was played at the Mumbai ground yesterday. The Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Du Plessis, clashed with the Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Shreyas Iyer.

Batting first, Kolkata lost all their wickets in 18.5 overs and scored only 128 runs. The team's all-rounder Andre Russell top-scored with 25 runs. For Bangalore, Hasaranga took 4 wickets, Akash Deep took 3 wickets, Harshal Patel took 2 wickets and Mohammad Siraj took 1 wicket.

Batting next, Bangalore won by 132 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 19.2 overs. Bangalore's Hasaranga was awarded the Man of the Match award for his outstanding bowling.

In this situation, Bangalore's fast bowler Harshal Patel has broken the record of another fast bowler of the team, Mohammad Siraj. Harshal Patel bowled 4 overs in the match followed by 2 maiden overs. Not only that but he also took 2 wickets. Earlier in IPL history, Mohammad Siraj was unbeaten in 2 consecutive maiden overs. Harshal Patel has now broken that record.
