IPL 2022: CSK CAPTAIN RAVINDRA JADEJA BLAMES DROPPED CATCHES FOR DEFEAT IN YESTERDAY'S MATCH!

Captain Jadeja has indirectly blamed two players for the CSK team's defeat.

Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants clashed in the 7th league match of the IPL series yesterday. Batting first, CSK scored 210 in 20 overs. Top scorers were Robin Uthappa (50), Shivam Dube (49) and Moeen Ali (35).

The Lucknow team set out towards this Himalayan goal and showed action from the start. Opening batsmen KL Rahul (40) and Quinton de Kock (61) added 99 runs for the first wicket. Lucknow won the match.

Speaking after the defeat at this stage, Captain Jadeja said, "Robbie and Shivam Dube were playing brilliantly. We had a good start, but in the fielding, we have to take catches then you'll win matches. 

"We should have taken those chances. There was a lot of dew, the ball wasn't sticking to the hand. Next time, we have to practise with the wet ball. We batted brilliantly in the top-six and in the middle-overs. The wicket was very good to bat on. As a bowling unit, we need to execute our plans," he further added.

KL Rahul and De Kock, who made their debuts, were the standout performers. The CSK team made several attempts to break up the alliance. De Kock's could have been caught in Bravo's over, but Moeen Ali missed it. Similarly, youngster Tushar Deshpande missed a catch of KL Rahul. Missing two important catches was a major setback for the CSK team. Captain Jadeja is said to have indirectly blamed the two.
