POLICE CASE LODGED AGAINST YUVRAJ SINGH FOR CALLING YUZVENDRA CHAHAL 'BHANGI'

A police complaint has been lodged against Yuvraj Singh for allegedly calling Yuzvendra Chahal 'bhangi' during an Instagram live session with Rohit Sharma.

The incident took place in April when Yuvraj had gone live on Instagram with Rohit and the duo were discussing Chahal’s TikTok videos. While referring to the latter’s TikTok obsession, Yuvraj casually made the casteist slur. A small clip of the conversation is being widely shared, prompting calls for an apology.

The comment has not gone down well with some of the Dalit right activists in Haryana. The complaint was lodged by Dalit rights activist and advocate Rajat Kalsan in Hansi in Hisar, a place in Haryana, as reported by Zee News.

Once the complaint was lodged by Kalsan, he went ahead to target Rohit as well. He said that Rohit Sharma should have expressed opposition to this thing of Yuvraj, but he laughed and agreed. 

Talking about the issue, Hansi SP Lokendra Singh said that all aspects will be investigated and action will be taken after the investigation is over, as reported by CricTracker.
